FREE ROOT BEER FLOAT DAY
Rams Head and BikeAAA Pedal Together for Bike Safety
Free Root Beer Float Day and Give Back Night raise funds to support BikeAAA and the Lifeline 100
Free Root beer Floats at all Rams Head Locations on October 3rd, 2025
ANNAPOLIS, MD, September 30, 2025 — For over 16 years, Rams Head Group has celebrated Free Root Beer Float Day on October 3rd in memory of Chad Muehlhauser, the brother of Rams Head owner Kyle Muehlhauser, who passed away in a bicycle accident at the age of 8.
This year, Rams Head is proud to support Bicycle Advocates for Annapolis & Anne Arundel County (BikeAAA) to raise awareness for bike safety and fund local cycling initiatives.
Free Root Beer Float Day & Give Back Night for BikeAAA
On October 3rd, guests visiting any Rams Head location will receive a free root beer float with any purchase. Additionally, Rams Head will donate 10% of all entrée sales that day to BikeAAA.
Donations will support BikeAAA’s mission to create a healthier, more livable Annapolis & Anne Arundel County by promoting bicycling for transportation, recreation, and fitness for people of all ages and abilities; advocating for better bicycling conditions and transportation choices; and educating children, adults, and motorists about safe bicycling.
"We are deeply honored to continue Free Root Beer Float Day in memory of my brother Chad," said Kyle Muehlhauser, Owner of Rams Head. "By supporting BikeAAA with a portion of our food sales, we’re not only celebrating his life, but also helping an organization that makes a real difference in bike safety for our community.”
Connecting Root Beer Float Day & the Lifeline 100
Rams Head’s Free Root Beer Float Day and support for BikeAAA benefit events like the 11th Annual Lifeline 100 Century Ride, taking place Sunday, October 5.
Organized by Anne Arundel County Police, Recreation & Parks, and BikeAAA, the Lifeline 100 brings together hundreds of cyclists for routes of 100, 65, 30, and 15 miles, as well as a free Children’s Bike Rodeo and Family Fun Safari Ride at Kinder Farm Park in Millersville.
The shorter routes are ideal for families, seniors, and recreational riders, featuring flat, paved trails along the B&A and BWI Loop Trails, while the longer routes showcase scenic views of downtown Annapolis, the Severn River, and the Chesapeake Bay.
Since its launch, the Lifeline 100 has raised over $400,000 for local non-profits. By supporting BikeAAA through Free Root Beer Float Day and Give Back Night, Rams Head helps advance the same mission: creating safer roads, educating the community, and supporting programs that protect cyclists of all ages.
