Ace Frehley of KISS on November 18 at Rams Head On Stage in Annapolis!

Original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley invaded the 8-track machines and cassette decks of millions of teenagers and twenty-somethings as a member of what might be the most colorful — and wildly successful — rock n’ roll band ever. “Space Ace” will bring four decades of music wherewithal to Rams Head On Stage for a performance at 8 p.m. Nov. 18. Annapolis native Jimi Davies will open the show in support of Frehley. Frehley’s membership in KISS lasted nine years, from 1973-82. Following his tumultuous departure — he rejoined the band for a reunion tour in the mid-1990s and stayed through 2002 — Frehley continued making hard rock music with Frehley’s Comet, which originally included Anton Fig, then the drummer for the Paul Shaffer-led band on “Late Night with David Letterman.” “Space Invader” is Frehley’s newest album, released Aug. 19. Jack Wagner of General Hospital Fame Performing at Rams Head On Stage this Friday, November 14!

Lightning does not often strike twice, and capturing it in a bottle can be amazingly tough – particularly for anyone who hopes to make an impression on both TV viewers and radio listeners. Jack Wagner is one of the handful of 1980s era actors who managed to successfully reach great heights on the music charts. Wagner, who found his biggest career role as “Frisco Jones” on the ABC daytime drama “General Hospital,” will make a tour-stop in Annapolis on Friday to play Rams Head Onstage at 8 p.m. Wagner, 55, has put out six albums, most notably his 1984 smash “All I Need,” which hit No. 44 on the Billboard charts thanks to the hit single of the same name, which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s U.S. Adult Contemporary chart. Wagner was a contestant on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars”… Read More >

Interview with Tall Heights’ Paul Wright – Tickets Available for Oct. 29th Show with Darlingside!

When I called Tall Heights cellist Paul Wright last week he was making dinner, experimenting with a variety of ingredients (ground turkey, butternut squash, mushrooms, kale, and a saffron-based sauce if I remember correctly) and sort of making it up as he went along – something he said he does quite often. The band Tall Heights has found success in much the same way, crafting a stunningly unique sound from a blend of classic musical components. In 2010, Wright joined up with childhood friend and guitarist Tim Harrington, and the two began busking in downtown Boston, playing a brand of soothing, atmospheric folk characterized by their impeccably harmonious voices and the subtle pluck and drone of their acoustic guitar-cello combo. Drawing inspiration from folk songwriters such as Gregory Alan Isakov, the duo quickly stood out from the crowd by “presenting… Read More >
