Rams Head Tavern Savage Mill Names Michael Urquhart Head Chef

After recently spending time at Rams Head Tavern Annapolis, Mikey is back in Savage! Michael Urquhart was born and raised in Dundee Scotland and apprenticed at The Old Course Hotel in St. Andrews, a five star hotel located on the Old Course Golf Course, the oldest and first golf course in the world. In his time there, he rose to the rank of Demi Chef. Uquhart moved to America in 1997 and his first job in the U.S. was at Rams Head in Annapolis. After spending two years there he became Sous Chef at Rams Head Tavern Savage Mill and eventually became the Executive Chef where he remained for nine years.  Urquhart left Rams Head for a short time and entered the corporate world. Rams Head IPA Coming January 17, 2013

Rams Head could not be more excited at the opportunity to announce that the Rams Head IPA will be released at our restaurant locations this month! The Rams Head IPA is the first beer that is being added to Fordham Brewing‘s year round line-up in six years. The IPA is a 7.5% ABV West Coast style India Pale Ale and contains pale, munich and rye malts, as well as Bravo, Chinook and Motueka hops. The Rams Head IPA challenges drinkers to “Defy the ordinary. Take life by the horns”. The poignant beers pays homage to the Brewery’s rich history and connects it to the present. Rosie Parks Oyster Stout Beer Release: October 4, 2012

It’s back.  Fordham Brewing Company”s Oyster Stout is making a triumphant return!!  This Thursday, October 4th Fordham’s Oyster Stout will be released under a new guise, Rosie Parks Oyster Stout.  Rams Head restaurants will be releasing the beer at 4pm with $4 limited edition glassware and $1 refills until 6pm. What’s it taste like?  Rosie Parks Oyster Stout is a medium-bodied stout with a roasted malt character.
