Silopanna Music Festival Announces 2014 Headliners!

The Rams Head Group is proud to announce the lineup and ticket information for the 2014 Silopanna Music Festival, taking place Saturday, August 16 at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds in Annapolis, Maryland. The lineup, consisting of 19 bands, features national recording artists: The Flaming Lips, Dashboard Confessional, Matt & Kim, Sleeper Agent, Hellogoodbye, Chappo, Twin Forks and Damn Right! Local & regional bands round out the rest of the billing:  Jimmies Chicken Shack, Pasadena, Sweet Leda, Higher Hands, Sun Club, Little Bird, The Baby Grand and Skribe. In the interest of encouraging young musicians to develop their craft, Rams Head will once again welcome School of Rock performers, as well as Brothers Clair from the annual Anne Arundel County Battle of the Bands to open the festival. Interview: Jimmies Chicken Shack: “Bring Your Own Stereo Turns 15”

Jimmies Chicken Shack will celebrate the 15th anniversary of “Bring Your Own Stereo,” which featured the smash hit “Do Right,” this Friday at Rams Head Live in Baltimore. The band will invite the BYOS lineup to take part in the show, playing the album in its entirety as well as songs for the rest of the JCS catalog. Band founder and lead singer Jimi Haha took a couple of minutes to reflect on the recording of  “Bring Your Own Stereo,” and the time around the release of the album. Guest Blogger: Jimi Haha of Jimmies Chicken Shack

This Friday Jan. 11, 2013 Jimmie’s Chicken Shack is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary by playing a show at Ram’s Head Live in Baltimore. It all makes perfect sense that we are doing this at Rams Head and in Baltimore. When the band started, I was living in a walk-in closet that I rented for $100 month in a house on West Hamilton Alley between Maryland Ave. and Park Ave. Jim Mcd and I started by writing some acoustic tunes while DJ Sun honed his skills at all hours of the night. Eventually I moved back to Annapolis where I rented a porch in Bay Ridge. 3 out of the 4 original JCS line up worked at the original Rams Head on West Street in Annapolis. They had no venue at that time, just the basement bar, the tea room and the patio.… Read More >
