Rams Head venue alums rock Firefly

As I attended the Firefly Music Festival in Dover, Delaware last weekend, I couldn’t help but think how vital our venues are to bands to establish the audience connection and name recognition necessary to be featured on large regional/national festivals such as Firefly, Bonnaroo, Coachella, etc. All you have to do is take roll for each day to see that this particular lineup was littered with featured acts that we have booked over the past few years. Friday Friday night featured an early evening set by our old friends The Avett Brothers. The Avetts and Rams Head have a long history together. It’s Festival time!

The first of March is that light at the end of the tunnel that is the last week of February, and you know what that means…SPRING IS (almost) HERE! It also means that spring/summer music festivals are setting up all over the country, like dominoes for the adventurous to topple over one by one, draining their wallets, and maybe a few brain cells,  in the process. First it was annual, most highly anticipated Coachella announcement, with headliners including the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Stone Roses, Blur and Phoenix, that the outspoken, disillusioned concert goes hated SO MUCH that it sold out in 15 minutes.
