Rams Head Group Purchases Key West Restaurant


ANNAPOLIS, MD
(May 6, 2019) – The Rams Head Group acquired their sixth restaurant location on April 30th, 2019. The new restaurant is located in Key West, Florida.

Bill Muehlhauser, Rams Head founder and Key West resident of 10 years, is proud to announce the purchase. “We’re excited to grow our base here in Key West and bring the best in Food, Fun, and Beer to our community”.

The restaurant will continue to operate under its current name, Blue Macaw, until it transitions to Rams Head Southernmost Bar & Grill in early July 2019.

General Manager Corky Fertitta said, “We’re looking forward to introducing Key West to what has made Rams Head restaurants so successful – good food, craft beer, and free local music”.

Rams Head Presents, the music and event booking division of the Rams Head Group, was recently awarded the management of the Key West Amphitheater at Truman Waterfront. “Rams Head prides itself on bringing national artists to its venues and creating memorable concert experiences for visitors and locals alike,” said Muehlhauser. Rams Head and the City of Key West have begun discussions to solidify an operating contract and Rams Head hopes to bring 12 national shows to the venue each year in addition to community events.

Fordham and Dominion Brewing Company was founded at Rams Head Tavern in Annapolis, Maryland and has been brewing fine ales and lagers since 1995. Rams Head hopes to feature these craft brews as the foundation to their craft beer selection at Southernmost Bar & Grill.

Beneath The Palms At Rams Head Dockside

Spring has sprung at Rams Head Dockside in Glen Burnie! Every Spring, we bring in new, luscious palm trees from Florida to transform our restaurant into a tropical oasis.

These palms, along with our spacious, white-sanded beach with plenty of seating, are only part of what makes Dockside so unique. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy some delicious food from our new menu (to be released in early May) of eclectic dishes, a cold beer from our list of over 150 brews, or a cocktail from our creative menu of Dockside crushesPlus, you can upgrade almost any crush or classic to a 32 oz. signature bucket for just $15, or add a floater for only $2!

A few of our favorites from our newly revamped Spring/Summer Beverage Menu, which will be launching in early May:

Strawberry Lemonade Crush | Smirnoff Citrus, strawberry purée and lemonade
Dockside Kazi | Deep Eddy Sweet Tea vodka, peach schnapps, sour mix, splash of sweet tea and Sprite
Frozen Dirty Banana | Made with Bacardi Rum and Crème de Cacao Liqueur
Rum Runner | Bacardi Rum, banana liqueur, pineapple, orange and lime juices topped with a splash of grenadine and a Myers’s Jamaican Rum floater

A few fun, new dishes to try from our soon-to-be-released menu, which will also be launching in early May: 
Avocado Shrimp Ceviche | Marinated shrimp tossed with shallots, cilantro and lime stacked over avocado, drizzled with Honey Sriracha and topped with sesame seeds. Served with tortilla chips.
Fried Green Tomatoes | Fried green tomatoes served over fire roasted corn salsa and topped with a cilantro lime cabbage slaw and Cajun rémoulade.
Oyster Po’ Boy | Fried oysters served on a toasted sub roll with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced pickles and Cajun rémoulade.
Cast Iron Crab Cake | Our 5 oz. lump crab cake over fried green tomatoes and fire roasted corn salsa. Served with a Cajun rémoulade.

10 Things You Need to Know About R2Hop2 2019

Rams Head Presents the 2019 R2Hop2 Beer & Music Festival! This year’s festival takes place on Saturday, April 27th at Fordham & Dominion Brewing Co. in Dover, Delaware.

We don’t want you to miss out on our brewery’s biggest party of the year, so we’re highlighting some of the most important details:

1. The music.

Rams Head and Fordham & Dominion are excited to welcome headliner J. Roddy Walston and The Business, along with supporting acts Ruen Brothers and Annapolis-native, Skribe.

2. The beer.

We’ll have 14 Fordham & Dominion craft beers on tap, including Cherry Blossom Lager, Backstage IPA, Wisteria Wheat, Candi Belgian Tripel, and more! The full selection of brews on tap can be viewed here.

3. The menu.

In addition to some of your favorite Fordham & Dominion beers, our VIP ticket holders will also enjoy a delicious BBQ meal catered by Hoffman’s. General Admission ticket holders will have access to our four food vendors.

Fordham & Dominion brewery has a unique history. Fordham Brewing originated at Rams Head Tavern in Annapolis, Maryland in 1995. In 1989, a time which has become known as the Craft Beer Revolution, Old Dominion Brewing Co. established a brewpub operation in Ashburn, Virginia. Based on the breweries’ shared values and a common philosophy of quality brewing, Fordham & Dominion joined forces in 2007 and consolidated operations in 2009. 10. The story.

Fordham & Dominion’s R2Hop2 Festival originated in 2012 as a way to connect members of the greater Dover community with talented musicians, local vendors, and the brewery’s excellent craft beer.
