Rams Head Presents R2Hop2 Beer & Music Fest feat. J. Roddy Walston

Rams Head Presents the 2019 R2Hop2 Beer & Music Festival at Fordham and Dominion Brewery on Saturday, April 27th! This year’s festival features J. Roddy Walston and The Business, The Ruen Brothers, and Annapolis native, Skribe.

About R2Hop2

The R2Hop2 Festival brings together music and beer lovers for an afternoon of delicious food, artisan vendors, and (of course) amazing music and the best craft beer in the Mid-Atlantic. Fordham and Dominion Brewing, Rams Head’s brewery, is excited to welcome its first national headliner to Dover, Delaware for R2Hop2 2019. The addition of a national act will elevate this already successful and dynamic event to new heights, drawing in festival goers from both within and beyond Delaware state lines. Not only is R2Hop2 a one-of-a-kind beer and music festival that connects business owners, community members and musicians, but it’s also an opportunity for us to give back. This year, a portion of all ticket sales will benefit the Central Delaware chapter of Habitat for Humanity.

R2Hop2’s name is inspired by an original piece of equipment used at Fordham & Dominion. The machine, which closely resembles R2D2, has the job of dry hopping our beer. This technique adds hops to already fermented beer, supplementing its hoppy aroma just before packaging.

This Year’s Music

J. Roddy Walston and The Business
J. Roddy Walston and The Business (JRWATB) is a Baltimore, Maryland-based rock band. The band is known for their energetic live shows and Walston’s pounding style of playing the piano. Road warriors from the time they formed in 2002, JRWATB has long been an underground favorite, toiling away in clubs and bars and carving out its own niche outside of the rock mainstream. Fordham & Dominion is excited to welcome the internationally recognized J. Roddy Walston and The Business as R2Hop2’s 2019 headlining act. Learn more here

Ruen Brothers
Whether it’s their collaboration with the legendary producer Rick Rubin, kudos from the likes of Zane Lowe and the BBC, or a string of memorable performances from the hills of Glastonbury to the deserts of Coachella, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter siblings Henry and Rupert Stansall, known by their amalgam-created moniker Ruen Brothers, are making a mark with a throwback rock and roll sound that intersects the early days of the genre with a dynamic present day act. The two have gone from sleepy English steel town obscurity to craft-smiths ready to make a global impact. Learn more here.

Skribe
Annapolis native and Rams Head Tavern regular Skribe travels from town to town in a blue hearse, spreading their own blend of garage folk: a soulful sound that draws from roots Americana & the 60’s garage spirit. The bands’ latest release ‘Postcards’ rumbles & creaks from the blues-punk growl of ‘Mayonnaise & Honey’ to the Hawaiian lap steel laced ballad ‘Strangers’ – a tribute to The Kinks. Learn more here.
