Hello! I’m Gerard, just your friendly neighborhood Booking Assistant. You may know me by my random musical selections on the Friday playlist or my recent stint as the lead singer of KISS.
One of my main responsibilities is to review performers’ contracts and riders. As some of you already know, a rider is a list of just about anything an artist needs and deems necessary in order to perform to the best of their abilities. People always hear crazy stories about artist riders: only red peanut M&M’s with the peanut taken out or spring water only taken from the top of the Himalayas.
Sorry to break it to you but it’s not as crazy as you would expect. Most things are pretty reasonable: six packs of a certain beer, Emergen-C, green tea, cookies. Sure there may be some exceptions, such as a certain pop singer with an affinity for de-thorned white roses, but I really can’t disclose specifics. Instead, I am going to feature weekly items in order to give you a better idea of what artists actually request.
This week’s featured item is jam from a certain slide guitarist playing on December 18th that loves to jam: St. Dalfour’s raspberry, blackberry, or blueberry jams.
“St. Dalfour is a privately owned family company under the same ownership since its founding in 1984. The St. Dalfour production facility is located in the Aquitaine region of Southwest France, an area known for centuries of culinary excellence as well as the famous wines of Bordeaux. St. Dalfour Fruit Spreads, made from natural fruits and free of any preservatives or added sugar, are delivered from our production facility to 120 countries”.
Jam out like a rock star and pick up St. Dalfour’s at your local grocery store or on Amazon at http://amzn.to/1xpkSjl
