Get to Know Silopanna Artist: School of Rock

No, no, not the movie “School of Rock” featuring Jack Black… The local School of Rock music company featuring awesome young musicians! This year at the Silopanna Music Festival, some of the very talented School of Rock students will be showing off their musical skills and performing live for us all. In this blog post, we will be getting to know 3 of those talented musicians in particular, Z. Lambert, Natalie Lewis, and Brendan Sacks. Keep reading to be entertained and to better get to know these young, aspiring musicians that will make their Silopanna debut, August 16, 2014!

Where are you from?
Annapolis MD – Z. Lambert

What’s the story behind your band name?
It’s the name of the School of Rock company which we all attend. – Z. Lambert

What do you like most about performing live for fans?
It’s rewarding seeing people singing along and jamming to the music with you. – Natalie Lewis
It makes me feel alive, and makes me realize that people like listening to our music.- Brendan Sacks

Which Rams Head venue is your favorite and why?
Ramshead Live – Z. Lambert
Rams Head On-Stage because I performed at the Christmas AMFM show there. – Brendan Sacks

If you only had an hour in the Annapolis area what would you do?
I would look for whatever live music was playing locally. – Z. Lambert
I would visit the Navy, then go eat at the Melting Pot. – Brendan Sacks

Which fellow artist are you most excited to see at Silopanna?
Skribe – Z. Lambert
Sun Club, because they are local, and a home favorite. – Natalie Lewis
Flaming Lips – Brendan Sacks

What are you looking forward to most about playing Silopanna?
I’m not sure, this is my first time playing. – Z. Lambert
It’s my first time, so just getting the experience. – Natalie Lewis
So many huge bands have played there, and I think it is so cool to perform at the same place they do. – Brendan Sacks

If you could only pack 3 things while going on tour what would they be?
Guitar, amp, and cable. – Z. Lambert
Water, phone, and money. – Natalie Lewis
A microphone, a stand, and a speaker. – Brendan Sacks

If you had to listen to one song straight for 24 hours what would it be?
Burn out Bright by Switchfoot. – Z. Lambert
It Don’t Mean a Thing, If it Ain’t Got that Swing. – Natalie Lewis
Detroit Rock City by Kiss. –  Brendan Sacks

If you had to eat one sandwich every day for the rest of the year, what would be on it?
Cheese. Ham, Prosciutto, Mayo, and Provolone – Natalie Lewis
Chicken, Lettuce, Cheese, and Ranch – Brendan Sacks
