There’s nothing like experiencing live music at Pier Six Pavilion on the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. Now, with summer concert announcement season in full swing, it’s time to make plans to #RockTheDocks with us throughout the 2014 Pier Six Season!

Just Announced:

September 18 – Daryl Hall & John Oates

Daryl Hall & John Oates return to Pier Six Pavilion as 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees. As the number one selling duo in music history thanks to hits such as “Rich Girl,” “Kiss on My List,” “Private Eyes,” “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do),” “Maneater” and “Out of Touch,” this honor is well deserved.

Starting out as two devoted disciples of earlier soul greats, Daryl Hall & John Oates are soul survivors in their own right. They have become such musical influences on some of today’s popular artists  including Rob Thomas, John Mayer, Brandon Flowers of the Killers, Ben Gibbard of Death Cab For Cutie and countless more. One of the most sampled artists today, their impact can be heard everywhere from boy band harmonies, to neo-soul to rap-rock fusion.

August 9 – Heart

One of Pier Six’s most requested  acts, Heart also returns as a recent addition to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, an honor received 36 years after the release of their groundbreaking debut album Dreamboat Annie. Widely recognized as the first women in a mainstream rock and roll band to play instruments and write their own songs,  Ann and Nancy Wilson show no signs of slowing down, nearly four decades later. The sisters stormed the charts in the ’70s with hits like “Crazy on You,” “Magic Man,” “Barracuda,” “Straight On,” and many more.

Heart continued topping the charts through the ‘80’s and ‘90’s with huge hits like “These Dreams,” “Alone,” “What About Love,” “If Looks Could Kill,” “Never,” and a string of other hits that showcased the sisters’ enormous talents as musicians and singers.  As individuals, the sisters have also achieved significant success.  Ann sang on songs that were both chart successes and motion picture themes, like “Almost Paradise” from Footloose, “Best Man in the World” from Goldenchild, and “Surrender to Me” from Tequila Sunrise, while Nancy composed and performed the scores to a half dozen motion pictures including the award winning “Jerry Maguire” and “Almost Famous.”

Following the succesful release of their latest album, “Life, Love & Hope,” Boston is back on the road with the “Heaven On Earth” Tour. Always a huge crowd pleaser with their high-energy stage show, out-of-this-world sound, and remarkable musicianship and singing,Boston prides itself on performing a totally live show without the use of prerecorded music or technical enhancements, delivering the exceptional sound that is faithful to their studio recordings.

The band burst onto the music scene with their eponymous best-selling debut album in 1976, and never looked back.  With over 17 million copies sold, Boston generated hits such as “More Than a Feeling,” “Peace of Mind,” and “Smokin’,” rock staples that are still in heavy rotation today.  Their second effort, Don’t Look Back was another chart-topper that confirmed their place in rock history, followed by Third Stage, which hit #1 on the charts, with the top single of 1986, “Amanda.”  With over 31 million albums sold to date, their music has stood the test of time, as evidenced by live BOSTON audiences that span generations.
