Boo’z Hump Day Helper- “Living the Dream”

Well, I’m new to this so bear with me.  You will find mostly useful information on upcoming shows and the what not’s of Rams Head Live.  Occasionally I will vear off or make a quick left on subject matter so pay attention and try to keep up.

I was sitting on the beach last weekend at night listening to the waves crash onto the shore and describing what I was hearing to my wife, she seemed inthraled at my description and noticed things that she had never heard before listen to the ocean and it got me thinking.  A few weeks ago I went to see a rather popular band right now called Fun. This is the first show in about a year that i have attended as a ticket holder (most of the time it is work related).  Now you must understand that this is not my favorite type of music but I can’t really say there is  just one.  If it’s good I will listen to it, pop, country, jazz, rock, etc. etc. good is good.  Anyways, I am watching the lead singer Nate Ruess, who i must say is a VERY talented individual on the large video screens as his mouth seems the melt into the microphone.  The sound coming from him was amazing, as relaxing as listening to those waves crash on to the beach.  They took a little bit of a break in the show, not sure if it was a technical difficulty or a planned break but i got the feeling it was off the cuff.  Nate proceeded to tell the crowd that this was the largest show they had ever played and right on cue the crowd went crazy.  This immedately made me this of some of there lyrics from ‘Some nights’.  “So this is it. I sold my soul for this?  Washed my hands of that for this? Miss my mom and dad for this?”  Yes Mr. Ruess, yes you did, and you are living a dream.  So just remember kids “Some Nights” we act like  “We Are Young” and we “Carry On” under the “Stars”  ” All Alone” putting “One Foot” in front of the other until “It Gets Better”.

I am a live music veteran with 20+ years experience in audio, lighting, sound, pyro, video, radio, TV, touring production and now booking.  I LOVE music, all kinds of music and the details that it takes to make it happen.  I hope you join me here frequently to see what we are up to.
