Celebrate the 4th of July with a Victory Lager!

The Fourth of July is a day for celebrating our independence and what better way to celebrate than a beer release party at Rams Head?!

This year we’re creating a BBQ style party for our Dominion Victory Lager beer release on Thursday, July 4th. From 4-6 PM grab a $5 commemorative glass (you get to keep it!) filled with Victory Lager. Each additional pour is only $1. Hot dogs and brats will be available for $4 from 4-7 PM and burgers for $5.

Victory Lager is a full-bodied and unfiltered steam beer, presents a silky malt flavor with caramel and honey notes reminiscent of a beer our country’s forefathers drank in colonial taverns. Victory Amber is an ale recipe, but lager yeast and conditioning give it a complex and mellow character. A blend of Willamette and Perle hops balance the malt flavor and East Kent Golding hops provide a subtle floral nose. ABV 5.3%

Ryan at Fordham and Dominion Brewing created awesome artwork for the pint glasses:

If you’re curious about the inspiration for the artwork, we have a little history for you: “In a series of BBC broadcasts in 1941, Douglas Ritchie, better known as the radio figure “Colonel Britton,” urged resisters in German-occupied lands to take up a V sign as “the symbol of the unconquerable will of the occupied territories.” Soon, underground movements started chalking V’s onto Nazi tanks all over the continent. Winston Churchill started using the newly minted “V for victory” symbol, and it became a well-known gesture on the home front, symbolizing the battle against an ultimate evil. Years later, in the 60’s, the V sign began to represent opposition to the Vietnam War and became a symbol of peace.”

And you thought history was boring? Not when there’s beer involved!

Come celebrate with us on July 4th and throw a V for Victory!
