Rams Head Does Preakness 2013

In Maryland, Preakness is the unofficial kick-off to summer. Thousands (117,000 this year!) of people from Maryland and even around the country flock to Pimlico Race Track, located in Baltimore, for Preakness every year. The total handle this year was $81,940,233 and if you bet on Oxbow you took a piece of that home! Preakness organizers brought some great talent to the track for live performances. Rachel Farley, Rodney Atkins, and The Goo Goo Dolls all performed on Friday and Afrojack, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and Pitbul took to the stage on Saturday. Some are there for the fashion, some for the gambling, some for the racing, but mostly for the party.

Rams Head attended Preakness this year for both business and pleasure. Our street team and interns were out in full force attending Black Eyed Susan Day (a full day of racing and celebrations the day before Preakness) and Preakness informing fans of our upcoming shows and even giving away some free tickets. Other members of the Rams Head family headed to Pimlico to watch the 138th running of the Preakness Stakes turfside (one even met Kevin Spacey!).
