Hem’s music is calm, dreamy, elegant, and exquisitely bittersweet. “This Brooklyn quartet”, says the Washington Post, “plays sophisticated, subtle orch-pop that just happens to have a twang.” The group forges a lush, poignant sound capped by the incredible voice of Sally Ellyson, a serene yet aching instrument.

Peter Tork: In This Generation — My Life in the Monkees and So Much More
BUY TICKETS
May 26, 8pm
The Monkees’ Peter Tork skyrocketed to fame in 1966, but the stories and musical heritage of this gifted, articulate musician and storyteller have remained unheard –and unseen– until now. Still breaking new ground in a five-decade career, Peter Tork lifts the veil on stage with “In This Generation: My Life in the Monkees and so much more”. Previously unseen photos and footage, unheard songs, and hits fans know and love come together powerfully and gracefully as Tork weaves the tale of a musical education in folk and pop that culminates with his early years as a performer in the clubs of Greenwich Village.

Samantha Crain was raised in rural Shawnee, OK, a town whose remote location influenced her quirky, earthy interpretation of folk music. Although inspired by the sounds of her father’s music collection, including Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead, an adolescent Crain took even greater solace in the music of her home state, from the rootsy Americana of Woody Guthrie to the sonic experiments of the Flaming Lips.

Lake Street Dive
BUY TICKETS
July 25, 8pm
Pulling in familiar elements and irreverently scrambling and recombining them, Lake Street Dive are at once jazz-schooled, DIY-motivated, and classically pop obsessed.  Lake Street Dive makes the most of pop music virtues: solid, evocative song craft; propulsive grooves.

Moody Blues Frontman Justin Hayward
BUY TICKETS
August 3 8:30pm
Justin Hayward, songwriter and lead singer with the Moody Blues, takes a rare turn away from the band with his new release Spirits of the Western Sky, his first solo effort since 1996′s The View From The Hill. Some 10 years in the making, Spirits of the Western Sky is appropriately cinematic, touching on the Moody Blues’ signature classic rock-meets-classical sound — something Hayward himself had no small part in constructing — even while it takes in fresh new elements from bluegrass to dance music.
