
Thank you to all who participated in spreading the word and voting in our 1st Annual Rammie Awards! With the Oscars coming this Sunday, Awards Season is just flying by! The nominees were chosen out of all three music venues: Rams Head Live, Rams Head On Stage and Pier Six Pavilion. The votes have been tallied and the results are in!
Below is a list of this year’s winners:
Show of the Year – Rams Head Live: Grace Potters and The Nocturnals
Show of the Year – Pier Six Pavilion: The Avett Brothers
Show of the Year – Rams Head On Stage: Bob Sima & Marc Douglas Berardo
Best WRNR Private Artist Showcase (Rams Head On Stage): Of Monsters and Men
Rookie of the Year – Rams Head Live: The Lumineers
Rookie of the Year – Rams Head On Stage: Hugh Laurie
Best Local Band Show (all venues): Pirate Rob’s Birthday Bash
Rams Head Live Band Most Likely To Play Pier Six: Alabama Shakes
OMG Moment of the Year: Grace Potter wishing the Ravens luck with a cover of Seven Nation Army performed on February 2nd, and then two days later playing it again to celebrate a Super Bowl win!
Best Band Name (this was a tie): Bumpin Uglies and Chris Reynolds & His Fantastic Steam Powered Orchestra
Best Silopanna Act: Citizen Cope
Best Opening Act: Dave Majerowicz
Best Tribute Band – Rams Head On Stage: Hotel California (Eagles)
Best Tribute Band – Rams Head Live: Several Species (Pink Floyd)

Best Rider (excerpts taken from requests made from one nameless band/artist):
“A little room in the back with a rat infested sofa you wouldn’t let your mother sit on and with obscene, infantile drawings covering the walls. The room should also have the faint smell of urine. OR a pleasant little place with a bathroom where we can drop off our stuff and relax. Whatever you already have will do. A stretch Hummer limo filled with whores and drugs (optional). A bail bondsman on call (optional).”
