The Latest from Rams Head On Stage!

We are so fortunate to have a local radio station like WRNR here in Annapolis.  Today, we had the privilege of hosting yet another amazing Private Artist Showcase.  Today’s spotlight was British singer-songwriter Ben Howard, currently touring with Mumford & Sons for their East Coast leg of the tour.

Since the release of his debut album Every Kingdom in 2011, Ben has been garnering a huge amount of critical acclaim which has propelled him into the UK Top 10. The album had its U.S. release in April of 2012. Since then, Every Kingdom has gone on to be Mercury Prize nominated, Ben has performed on Later with Jools Holland, has toured across the country touring relentlessly and performing at various festivals such as SXSW, Sasquatch! Music Festival, Bonnaroo, and Austin City Limits and achieved platinum sales status in U.K and half a million sales worldwide. His follow up release, The Burgh Island E.P, has received a massive reception from both fans and media alike.

He did a short, sweet acoustic set for us which included one of his hits “Only Love”, “Black Flies” and “Kiko”, which he performed playing his lap guitar.  Very cool!

Wonder what will WRNR bring us next? Be sure to check their website and stay tuned so you can get the scoop on what’s to come!

AND COMING NEXT WEEK:

Be sure to check out Tim Reynolds and his band TR3 on the February 18th.

Reynolds is currently lead guitarist for the Dave Matthews Band and performs as one-half of the acoustic Dave Matthews-Tim Reynolds duo. He has also performed on nearly all of Dave Matthews’ CDs. Taking a break from touring with Dave Matthews Band, Tim Reynolds again picks up with TR3 for a national tour.

Also coming:

Feb. 20 – Kim Waters, heralded as “simply one of the planet’s best saxophonists” by JazzTimes Magazine and touted as a “romantic pied piper” by The Washington Post.

Feb. 21 – Comedian Hannibal Buress, who recently made it in Rolling Stone Magazine’s “50 Funniest People Now” list

Happy Valentine’s Day

…Until next week!
